lot-0000, title: booking tool, description: the subject of this procurement is the acquisition, provision, implementation, and operation of a largely standard-oriented industry solution for the project booking tool + offer creation. the guest events (ge) department significantly contributes to the success of messe berlin each year by managing numerous guest events. since 2019, the number of guest events has continuously increased - from 60 to a projected number of about 80 events in 2025. in addition to managing guest events, overseeing the supporting program of in-house events such as itb, innotrans, and green week is another important area of responsibility for the department. for example, around 65 sub-events were organized, managed, and mostly billed by guest events at itb 2024. additionally, the guest events department manages numerous internal events annually (e.g., gf information sessions, company meetings, workshops, first aid courses, etc.). the ge business unit aims to achieve the 'perfect fit' for its customers while also ensuring the ideal utilization of messe berlin locations. the most important tool for this is an effective booking system that allows relevant resources for conducting events to be booked. the main users for booking resources in the system are the guest events business unit due to the number of daily booking requests. however, for informational purposes, the entire fair must have access to the system. when initiating a booking, there is a high communication need with the customer (especially external customers). offers are created beyond the hall rental, which partly lays the foundation for follow-up activities by other areas of messe berlin. the rental of office spaces or warehouses, including the creation of rental offers, should also be represented in the system.
