in transport terms, the cpca is the transport authority setting the strategic direction for the area and providing a single voice to government about the aims and objectives of the cambridgeshire and peterborough area.
in november 2023, the cpca board approved the local transport and connectivity plan ltcp which sets out the areas transport strategy.
the purpose of the rail and connectivity strategy is to provide a clear, comprehensive statement of cpca policy on rail, covering both services within the region and the areas role in the wider national network.
