Contract Award for Contract awarded for SWTAFE - Building Innovation & Design Centre Head Contractor
Following the closure of an Expression of Interest (EOI) process undertaken via Buying for Victoria and the shortlisting of preferred tenderers, SWTAFE is seeking tender submissions for the Head Contractor for the Building Innovation & Design Centre (BIDC) project. This project will be delivered under a Design & Construct methodology, and involves construction of a new building and associated services, roadways, carpark and landscaping at SWTAFE's Sherwood Park Campus in Warrnambool.
The BIDC will provide infrastructure and facilities to meet the existing SWTAFE demand, such as a new front entrance and reception, amenities, meeting rooms and video conferencing facilities, student and staff spaces and supporting infrastructure and external works. The facility also includes a dedicated Automotive Training Facility designed to support training in internal combustion, hybrid, and electric vehicles, and to facilitate the relocation of the automotive department from the Warrnambool City Campus. Specification documents have been provided which contain all details of the project to assist tenderers in completing their submissions. The Building Innovation & Design Centre project is funded by the Victorian Government with a specified completion date of November 2026.
