๐ Tender Overview
The access construction works and complementary interventions to the Bioceanica Bridge over the Paraguay River continue on several fronts. The new infrastructure will allow the connection of Carmelo Peralta, in the department of Alto Paraguay, with the international bridge that will allow passage to Puerto Murtinho, Brazil. During a verification tour led by the President of the Republic, Santiago Pena, the Minister of Public Works and Communications, Eng. Claudia Centurion, highlighted the direct impact of the work on the community: A mega project like that of the bioceanic corridor bridge, if it does not have a social impact, a direct impact on the community and does not benefit the people, the work remains incomplete. Along these lines, he highlighted that thanks to the presidents decision today it is possible to complete this great work: today is what we are already seeing, works in the urban area of Carmelo Peralta, the main avenue that is a before and after for the organization of the city. For his part, engineer Rene Gomez, from the PyBra Consortium that is carrying out the construction of the bridge, detailed the status of the progress: From the Bioceanica route to the bridge we have 3,800 meters, and we are already making 1,100 meters of progress on a refilled embankment. Regarding the paving of the road, he indicated that we are going to remove the existing completely deteriorated concrete and we are going to replace it with a new concrete pavement, a hydraulic concrete pavement. Likewise, he gave a preview of the planned urban improvements: we are going to have a wider central promenade that will allow us to make an urban beautification of the area. Independently of this, we also have about 200 meters of a linear park with a port overlooking the river.
