📋 Tender Overview
It is part of the technological projects carried out through the Coronavirus Unit to improve the national capacity to respond to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Ministry of Science Technology and Innovation of the Nation through its authorities participated in the act that the Argentine NanoSensors Factory FANIOT a Technological Base Missionary Company EBT carried out virtually for the presentation of Family of IOT Carbon Dioxide Sensors developed to improve national capacities to respond to the COVID-19 Pandemic and which are also part of the devices that contribute to the Ventilate Campaign. These sensors which were developed in part with funding from the National Agency for the Promotion of Research Technological Development and Innovation RD Agency of the MINCYT within the framework of the Coronavirus Unit measure CO2 concentration in the air and use a non-dispersive infrared sensor NDIR Technology for the determination of CO2 concentration in closed environments such as classrooms offices and or places where there are crowds of people. The Minister of Science Technology and Innovation of the Nation Roberto Salvarezza the President of the National Agency for the Promotion of RD Fernando Peirano the Undersecretary of Policies in Science Technology and Innovation Cecilia Sleiman and the Head of the Cabinet of Advisors of the MINCYT Carolina Vera sent their greetings to the virtual ceremony. The development of CO2 Sensors are a new high-tech contribution from this company in Misiones at a time when having guaranteed air quality offers us the possibility of safe environments said Salvarezza. The executive director of FANIOT Martn Bueno highlighted the role played by the R D i Agency and the Ministry of Science Technology and Innovation of the Nation when financing Technological Projects to improve the national capacity to respond to the COVID-19 Pandemic In this case the development of the IOT CO2 sensors that are part of the solutions created with the Non-Refundable Contribution ANR obtained by the missionary EBT in 2020.For his part Fernando Peirano congratulated the entire EBT Missionary team and highlighted the importance of IOT CO2 Sensors as a response to the fight against COVID-19. Cecilia Sleiman assured that from the Coronavirus Unit that we make up between the Ministry of Science the R D I Agency and the CONICET we promote different actions to mitigate the effects of the pandemic and in that framework we have the Ventilate Campaign active that it precisely promotes actions of correct ventilation of closed environments .Finally Carolina Vera highlighted the importance of IOT CO2 Sensors and their operation focused on the correct ventilation of spaces as a preventive measure against COVID-19.The deputy governor of the Province of Misiones Carlos Arce the mayor of the City of Posadas Lalo Stellato the Minister of Education Science and Technology of the Province of Misiones Miguel Sedoff the Minister of Industry of the Province of Misiones Nicols Trevisan the members of the FANIOT Board of Directors Martn Bueno and Ayeln Ebene and Constanza Castillo FANIOT Operations Leader. In addition greetings were projected from the Director of the International Trade and Investment Agency Martn Navarro and the Physicist CONICET researcher and UNAHUR professor Jorge Aliaga.IOT CO2 Sensors measure the concentration of Carbon Dioxide in closed environments using a non-dispersive infrared sensor NDIR technology. Both have RGB LEDs that indicate the Carbon Dioxide concentration in the environment in three concentration ranges measured in PPM green less than 700 ppm yellow 700-900 ppm and red greater than 900. For its part the CO2 Sensor-200 incorporates an OLED screen to display data. They have a WiFi connection and an integrated App available for desktop and mobile devices from where it is possible to carry out an intelligent monitoring of the ppm measurements in real time and to carry out a historical monitoring of the information it collects. The CO2 Sensor Family will contribute to the prevention of COVID-19 in different industrial governmental and educational sectors.About the VENTILAR CampaignThis campaign seeks to raise awareness about the importance of ventilation of environments to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by aerosols and to disseminate the potential use of carbon dioxide meters as a support instrument. The Ventilate Campaign recommends indirectly evaluating the degree of tightness of the indoor air using CO2 carbon dioxide monitoring systems. It is recommended to increase the opening of doors and windows when the CO2 level exceeds 700 ppm parts per million of air mass.Indoor environments where air does not circulate are the most risky for the transmission of SARS-CoV-2 through aerosols since they accumulate increasing the chances of inhaling air with the virus. For this reason constant ventilation in environments is key in the prevention of COVID-19.To know more about the Campaign click hereAbout the Coronavirus UnitThe Coronavirus Unit aims to make available all the capacities for the development of technological projects human resources infrastructure and equipment that may be required to carry out diagnostic and research tasks on Coronavirus COVID-19.It is made up of the Ministry of Science Technology and Innovation MINCyT by CONICET and by the National Agency for the Promotion of Research Technological Development and Innovation RD Agency.
