Argentina Start Neonahuel Tender

On August 9 the presentation of the Training Simulator for a Tank Section TAM NeoNahuel II was held at the Military College of the Nation. Said Simulator will be in charge of the CMN Cavalry squadron. It should be noted that this has been a joint development between the Argentine Army and CITEDEF. The hardware was developed by the Tcnl. Pablo Regazzoni and the software by the 3D Distributed Simulators Engineering Group of the Department of Guidance and Simulation Systems of CITEDEF.The Neonahuel II allows to equip the students with more experience optimizing the instruction and education of the CMN since it is a flexible and economic tool that complements the training in the field of the Head of Tank and Aim of the TAM.Each position consists of a cabin with the instruments of the TAM tank tower for the training and evaluation of students in different exercises designed by the instructors. The simulator recreates combat situations that allow you to make appraisals measurements and resolve situations in front of a real-time virtual enemy that can be fired at and can respond to fire. This capacity is possible thanks to the fact that it has been developed on the Platform of Distributed 3D Development P3D in charge of the group of Engineering of 3D Distributed Simulators of CITEDEF. The functionalities of this platform are equivalent to a game engine.It offers functionalities of a graphic engine for the generation of real-time images of the virtual scene allowing to model scenarios with terrains skybox fixed and moving objects effects etc. It also implements a distributed middleware that allows simulation to be developed in several networked jobs ensuring that the simulation is developed in each position simultaneously synchronized and coherent.
