34,267 eligible voters (13.68% of eligible voters) took advantage of the early election day in Burgenland on January 10. The deadline for applying for a voting card ended today at 12 noon.
According to the state election office, a total of 31,484 voting cards were issued by the municipalities for the 2025 state election. Of the 250,400 eligible voters, 12.57% applied for a voting card. This represents a significant increase compared to the 2020 state election. At that time, 21,155 voting cards (8.46% of eligible voters) were issued to 250,181 eligible voters.
As of 2 p.m. today, 27,949 have been returned to the municipalities. Voting cards can also be handed in at a polling station in the constituency on election day, January 19, 2025.
