The Minister of Economy, Investments and Industry Alexander Pulev participated in a meeting with the Prime Minister Rumen Radev and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Wang Yi, as part of his visit to Bulgaria.Rumen Radev recalled that in 2019, as the President of Bulgaria, together with the President of the Peoples Republic of China, Xi Jinping, they adopted a joint declaration to raise bilateral relations to the level of a strategic partnership.In this regard, the Prime Minister highlighted the achievements of our country in energy, agriculture and the automotive sector, which creates favorable conditions for the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of electric mobility.Bulgaria is increasingly establishing itself as an attractive destination for investments with its tax policy, political stability, predictability and the readiness of the state to support strategic investment projects, emphasized Rumen Radev.The prime minister pointed out that the upcoming convening of a high-level meeting on connectivity issues in the spring of 2027 in Bulgaria is at the proposal of the Bulgarian government and aims to develop connectivity between Central Asia and Europe through the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor.With its strategic position, Bulgaria has a key place in these projects as a gateway from Asia to Europe and contributes to the expansion of transport, energy and digital connectivity.The opening of a direct air line between Sofia and Beijing will also contribute to improving connectivity, was the general position during the meeting.For his part, Wang Yi conveyed greetings from President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang, as well as an invitation for the Bulgarian Prime Minister to visit the Peoples Republic of China.The Foreign Minister of China expressed confidence that Bulgaria will make progress in its development in the coming years, which will create additional opportunities for deepening bilateral relations and attracting Chinese investments.The Chinese foreign minister emphasized his countrys readiness to deepen economic cooperation with Bulgaria through specific joint projects in the interest of the peoples of both countries.China wishes to be a reliable and responsible partner of Bulgaria in the process of its modernization, Minister Wang Yi emphasized during the meeting.
