Bulgaria Ministry Foreign Tender

Two teams from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as from embassies of Japan Germany China and the Republic of South Africa participated in the Sofia Equity Marathon which this year was dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the MFA. The event which is traditionally organized under the patronage of the Embassy of Japan in our country gathered almost 100 teams in its fifth edition.Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Petko Doikov also took part in the race who ran one of the positions in the relay. The Sofia Equity Marathon has become one of the symbols of the friendly relations between Bulgaria and Japan he said. - More than 100 years after the organization of the first Equestrian Marathon in Japan we here in Sofia with desire and spirit continue this tradition. And this year we have a specific reason for this - it marks 140 years since the establishment of the Bulgarian diplomatic service and 110 years since the first official contacts between Bulgaria and Japan. Both MFA teams competed in the state structures relay. Deputy Minister Doikov also included Alexei Andreev Deyan Katrachev Rado Angelov Dora Angelova and Mario Doikov and in the other team - Adlen Yuseinova Martin Kolev Gergana Tsekova Georgi Hashev Georgi Minkov and Bozhidar Alexandrov. Petko Doikov also awarded the first three teams in the Mens Relay discipline where the winners were Marathon Plovdiv competitors. The team was also the leader in the overall standings with the competitors taking the overall distance of 42.195km in 21136 h.
