Thanks to this footbridge, whose span between the abutments is 60 meters with a deck width of 3 meters, safe crossing is ensured for pedestrians and cyclists. The work, whose total budget amounts to approximately 1,750,000 euros including tax, should be finalized by May 2026 and will relate in particular to the development of the access paths and their connection to the new footbridge. Taking advantage of the closure of the motorway for other works As part of the installation of the footbridge, the Administration of Bridges and Roads took advantage of the closure of the A3 motorway to carry out other work and thus avoid subsequent disruptions, in particular: the renewal of carpets at the A3/A6 junction, maintenance work on the OA1035 and OA1038 located near the Gasperich cross, load tests on the OA1025 (Livange viaduct), preparatory work for the Livange viaduct, finishing work on the shoulders under the Y bridge (OA1171), various works on the gantries.
