After years of construction, the Brittenpassage at Amsterdam Zuid station is almost ready to receive travelers.The access to the station will move 200 meters to the west and a completely renovated Minerva passage will be built at the current location.The brand new Brittenpassage will be festively opened on November 1.Zuidasdok and NS are working hard on the finishing touches.Travelers are informed in advance about the approaching opening with a countdown board.
Amsterdam Zuid station is the sixth station in the Netherlands, with around 75,000 train passengers alone per working day.NS operates and manages the station, including the new indoor bicycle shed.NS also invests in facilities for travelers, such as the OV Service & Tickets shop, toilets and various shop formulas.Travelers will soon be able to go to AH to go, Bakker Bart, Etos, Julias, Kiosk, Smullers and Starbucks for their coffee, sandwiches, pasta, snacks, toothpaste or deodorant.There will also be a Kiosk on both train platforms for a last quick coffee or snack.Via the new bright indoor bicycle shed with 2,000 parking spaces, travelers arrive directly in the middle of the passage.

Work continues In the coming years, Zuidasdok will continue to work on the expansion of Amsterdam Zuid station.The temporary station entrances will be demolished and the Minerva passage will be completely renovated at its current location.As a result, the area around the station will remain a construction site in the coming years.The work will be carried out in phases so that the station remains accessible to travelers. There are also plans to construct a tunnel for the A10 ring road.This will create space for an extra platform with two new train tracks.In this way, the station is made suitable for the growth of both domestic and international train traffic.
