Anyone who travels to Den Dolder station enters the nature of Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park.Travelers can find their way to the Willem Arntszbos, Soesterberg Air Base Park, heathlands and other nature and heritage locations via the easy-to-find walking and cycling routes.Public transport bicycles are also available to further explore the area.Sustainably discovering nature More and more people want to go out into nature in their free time. Collaboration The realization of Buitenpoort Den Dolder was achieved through a collaboration between Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park, NS, ProRail, the province of Utrecht, the municipality of Zeist and site management organizations such as theUtrecht Landscape.This collaboration makes nature reserves more accessible without the extra pressure of car traffic.About BuitenpoortenBuitenpoorten are train stations that are directly adjacent to nature reserves.The concept connects city and nature and encourages visitors to travel sustainably.Buitenpoorten had previously been opened in Bussum-Zuid, Castricum and Baarn.
