The main flow of tourists to the Grodno region comes from Russia.Deputy Chairman of the Economics Committee of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee Tatyana Lidyaeva told a BELTA correspondent how tourism is developing in the region and what the emphasis is on. In the Grodno region, the share of tourists from Russia has increased by more than 5% compared to 2025.At the same time, Tatyana Lidyaeva noted, there is an opportunity to attract even more guests from the neighboring country.Active work is being carried out to popularize recreation in the region. And we see that it is bringing results, and also that our potential in this direction has not yet been exhausted, she said. The deputy chairman of the economics committee of the regional executive committee noted that the region, in comparison with other Belarusian destinations, is less known among tourists from Russia.In this regard, experts are actively working to promote various types of tourism in Prinemanye, including sanatorium and resort, among the Russian professional community.First of all, paying attention to those regions of the Russian Federation with which the most convenient logistics chains have been built.According to Tatyana Lidyaeva, the popularization of Grodno and the region among tourists is also positively influenced by travel shows that are filmed in the Grodno region (by the way, there have already been three of these this year), but advertising tours play a key role. For example, today Russian tour operators are in Grodno.A rich program has been prepared for them, which will cover not only the regional center, but also other points in the region.Thus, there was a sightseeing tour of the city above the Neman, a visit to the Old Castle, acquaintance with the palace and park complex Vyaliki Svyatsk Valovicha, the agrotourism complex Korobchitsy, the Karolinska folk farm of Tyzenhaus in the Grodno region.Tomorrow, tour operators from Russia will be invited to visit one of the local health resorts and key tourist sites in the Lida region.By the way, our acquaintance with Prinemanye started yesterday with a visit to the Mir Castle and Novogrudok. As Tatyana Alekseeva, a tour participant from the Moscow region, shared, the places that we have already been able to visit in the Grodno region have left indelible impressions.Grodno, the western part of Belarus, attracts. As Tatyana Lidyaeva, Deputy Chairman of the Economics Committee of the Regional Executive Committee, added, the region is actively working to attract investment, including through credit resources.35 projects are included in the list of infrastructure projects Tourist Potential, the implementation of which will allow us to increase the number of rooms in the Grodno region by 602 rooms. 9 projects of them are financed by banks. This year, four accommodation facilities have already been opened in the Grodno region, with 225 rooms with more than 380 beds. By the end of the year, we are waiting for the implementation of four projects, thanks to which another 56 rooms will appear.
