Ilr Access Internet Tender

πŸ“„ Tender ID: 519943160 πŸ“… Published: 03 Jul 2025

πŸ“‹ Tender Overview

The ILR works for access to an open Internet for all the Luxembourg Regulation Institute (ILR) has just published in June its annual report relating to access to an internet open in Luxembourg. This report summarizes the monitoring activities of access to an open Internet carried out by the ILR and brings together information relating to the checkmynet.lu, made available by the ILR to consumers for the period from May 1, 2024 to April 30, 2025. The ILR draws up the 9th assessment of its activities in terms of access to an internet open to Luxembourg, also including statistics relating to the use of the CheckMynet. From May 1, 2024 to April 30, 2025. Since 2016, ILR has been ensuring compliance with the obligations of the European regulation establishing measures relating to access to an open Internet1 (also called the open Internet regulation) which result from it for electronic communications providers. It is in this context that the ILR provides consumers for free the checkmynet.lu tool which allows you to control the proper functioning of electronic communication networks and services and to guarantee an open internet. Since the launch of checkmynet.lu in April 2018, more than 500,000 measures have been carried out. The results of the use of checkmynet.lu highlights a constant progression of the quality of service of Internet connections in Luxembourg. In particular, the ILR observed an increase of approximately 17% of the average speed measured in download and that measured in upload on fixed and mobile networks, compared to the previous period. This development is part of the context of continuous investments made by operators in the deployment of networks and a growing demand for subscriptions to increasingly high flows. In order to take these developments into account, the ILR adapted in June 2024 the different color codes used to view the performance of the various internet access services on accessible cards through checkmynet.lu. The quality of service remains a priority for the ILR, which acts to guarantee access to the quality Internet to consumers and continues its work of development of Checkmynet.lu. A new version of the Mobile Applications Checkmynet.lu, put online in March 2025, thus includes improvements on the accessibility of results and the user interface. These improvements in particular allow a better experience of users using visual assistance tools. The layout of checkmynet.lu applications now allows text scaling for better readability (taking charge of a 200%zoom). The ILR has also improved the support for screen players, and modernized the presentation of information on cards and diagrams. The activities carried out in the past nine years have made it possible to access an open Internet while guaranteeing freedom to innovate and the protection of the rights of end users. Although the ILR has not observed major anomalies during the analysis period, it continues its surveillance activities, in particular by checking the pre -contractual and contractual documents of the Internet access providers.
