๐ Tender Overview
At the TIME Russia-India business forum, Sbers business breakfast Russia-India: The Architecture of Sustainable Partnership was held, featuring Vinay Kumar, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Russian Federation; Taliya Minullina, head of the Investment Development Agency of the Tatarstan Republic; Manpreet Singh, president and chairman of the Trust Council of the International Chamber of Investment and Business (ICIB); and other speakers. The session was moderated by Ivan Nosov, CEO of SberIndia. Following the previous TIME forum, held in October 2025, Russian President Vladimir Putin paid two official visits to India. During the latest one, in September 2026, the leaders of the two countries were introduced to the new Chairman of the Russia-India Business Council -- Sbers CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board Herman Gref. As part of the Councils work, Sber will pool resources to provide maximum support to businesses in both countries and foster mutually beneficial relations. Amid a skills shortage, Russian companies are increasingly considering hiring specialists from India. The country has a well-developed system for training and placing professionals internationally: more than 18 mn Indian citizens work abroad, ranging from manual and technical workers to IT specialists, engineers, and medical professionals. To streamline the labor recruitment process, Sber and its partners have created a digital solution where everything -- from submitting an application to deploying workers at project sites -- is handled through a single window. This is already a fully operational, multifunctional tool that addresses the challenge of workforce supply. In closing the discussion, Ivan Nosov emphasized that the Russia-India partnership has already moved beyond trade: new payment mechanisms have been established, the investment agenda is expanding, and practical tools for attracting specialists are emerging. The key task now is to convert this potential into concrete projects, contracts, and jobs.
