President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the projects being implemented in the new tourism complex built on the territory of the Karkidon reservoir in Kuva district.
This place is expected to become one of the most attractive destinations for summer vacation, ecotourism and active recreation in the Fergana Valley.
According to the decision of the head of our state on April 1, 2025, a modern tourism complex worth 635 billion soums is being formed here. The road infrastructure in the area has been improved and improvement works are ongoing.
The complex, which occupies an area of 508 hectares, combines the possibilities of agrotourism, ecotourism and extreme tourism. There are 45 chalets, 57 modern guest houses, an agro-tourism complex, a flower garden, a laundry room, an eco-market, quiet areas and restaurants.
While getting acquainted with the conditions created in the region, the President noted that such projects are important for the well-being of the population, the economy of the region, and increasing the tourism potential of our country. It was noted that tourism is one of the effective ways of introducing the country to the world, creating new jobs and expanding the export of services.
Within the framework of the project, more than a hundred business entities will be established, and about 2 thousand new jobs will be created. It is planned to receive 750,000 tourists per year, provide budget income of 3 billion soums and export of services worth 5 million dollars. The complex will be fully operational from 2027.
In the future, motocross tracks, a 2-kilometer gallows road, karting and golf courses will be organized here. These opportunities make the Karkidon complex one of the flagship places in the field of active tourism.
Officials were given tasks to further develop the tourism and service sectors, create favorable conditions for local and foreign tourists, and most importantly, to form a stable system that serves the interests of the population.
During the visit, the head of state got acquainted with the activities of new hotels and shopping complexes. Projects to be implemented in the future in the field of tourism were presented here.
In particular, it is planned to build large tourism complexes around Lake Karatereng in Takhtakopir district, artificial lake in Khanabad district, Koksaroy reservoir in Khatirchi district, Arashan lake in Pop district, Sobirsoy in Nurabad district and Kattakurgan reservoir in Kattakorgan district.
Such projects serve to expand the tourism potential of our country, develop the service industry in the regions, and increase the income of the population.
