On October 13, 2024, Liu Jian, Charge d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Libya, paid a visit to Khalid, Minister of Finance of the Libyan National Unity Government in Tripoli.
Deputy Ambassador Liu Jian said that China attaches great importance to developing the strategic partnership between the two countries and is willing to work with the Libyan side to actively implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries during their meeting during the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Summit, and continuously enhance practical cooperation between the two sides in various fields such as finance, investment, economy and trade, for the benefit of the people of the two countries.
Minister Khalid said that the two countries have traditional friendship and Libya is willing to strengthen investment and financing cooperation between the two sides. Libya welcomes Chinese companies to return profits to operate, further enhance the level of cooperation between the two countries in jointly building the "Belt and Road" and promote more achievements in bilateral relations.
