π Tender Overview
The Ministry Of Energy And The Operator Of The Lithuanian Electricity Transmission System Litgrid Presented The Works Of The Infrastructure Resilience Program At The 330 Kv Vilnius Transformer Substation And Further Plans To Strengthen The Security Of The Electricity Transmission Network To Members Of The European Parliament And Representatives Of The European Commission. We Aim To Create A Long-Term Instrument At The Level Of The European Union To Finance The Protection Of Critical Energy Infrastructure. Together With Members Of The European Parliament And Representatives Of The European Commission, We Discussed Possible Solutions, Presenting Currently Completed, Ongoing And Planned Projects For The Implementation Of Measures For The Protection Of Critical Energy Infrastructure. We Are Grateful To The European Commission, Which At The Beginning Of This Year Allocated 113 Million Euros In Funding For Synchronization Projects For The Protection Of Critical Energy Infrastructure In The Baltic States And Poland. Consistently Taking Over We Are Expanding The Scope Of The Protection Of Our Critical Energy Infrastructure Projects Using The Lessons Of Ukrainian Energy Experts, Says Zygymantas Vaiciunas, Minister Of Energy. The Vilnius Transformer Substation Is One Of The Two Key Points Of The Transmission Network That Ensures Reliable Electricity Supply In The Capital Region. We Are Currently Installing Physical Barriers Here To Protect The Most Important Devices From Hybrid Threats. The Resilience Program Was Initiated By Litgrid A Little Over A Year Ago, And We Have Already Made Strong Progress In Many Projects: We Have Purchased And Installed Drone Neutralization Solutions, We Have Taken Care Of The Primary Protection Solutions For Power Substation Devices, We Design And Build Physical Barriers, The Materials Of Which We Tested At The Training Grounds Of The Lithuanian Army, We Are Implementing Measures To Promptly Update The Damaged Infrastructure, Says Andrius Semeskevicius, Head Of Litgrid. On Friday, Members Of The European Parliament Virginijus Sinkevicius, Paulius Saudargas, Kamila Gasiuk-Pihowicz, Jan Panek, Deputy Director Of The Directorate General For Energy Of The European Commission, And Other Representatives Of The European Parliament And The European Commission Visited The Vilnius Transformer Substation. This January, 113 Million Was Allocated To The Projects To Strengthen The Protection Of The Baltic Countries Synchronization Critical Energy Infrastructure, Carried Out By The Transmission Operators Of The Baltic And Polish Electricity Systems, Litgrid, Ast, Elering And Pse. Eur Financing From The Connecting Europe Facility (Cef). The Energy Infrastructure Resilience Program Implemented By Litgrid Includes The Strengthening Of Physical Protection Of Critical Facilities, The Formation Of An Emergency And Crisis Reserve Of Transmission Network Facilities, The Installation Of Electronic Safety Measures, The Installation Of Drone Detection And Neutralization Systems, The Strengthening Of Perimeter Protection, The Readiness To Operate In Emergency Mode, The Installation Of Temporary Protection Structures To Ensure The Safety Of Workers. Litgrid Implements 15 Projects In The Resilience Program, The Scope Of Which Includes More Than 150 Measures, Which Are Implemented In Individual Transmission Network Objects. The Program Is Constantly Reviewed Based On Threat Assessment And New Technological Solutions.
