π Tender Overview
In mid-December, the Lithuanian Armed Forces received the first batch of state-of-the-art night combat equipment β ??LP5X laser sights and BPS14 night vision devices. This will significantly contribute to strengthening the country's defense capabilities.
These laser sights and night vision devices were purchased from UAB Brolis Semiconductors. The purchase value of the laser sights is more than 17 million euros. The devices are planned to be transferred to the Lithuanian Armed Forces in 2024β2025.
The Brolis LP5X laser sight, developed and manufactured in Lithuania, is currently the most modern device of its kind on the NATO market. It is used by a large number of NATO countries, and several of them have already chosen this sight as standard equipment for individual soldiers.
When carrying out acquisitions for Lithuanian defense needs, the aim is to involve Lithuanian manufacturers, therefore a significant portion of the funds remains in the Lithuanian economy, which also allows for shortening supply chains and, if necessary, responding promptly to equipment failures.
