Moldova Republic European Tender

The Republic of Moldova received the first tranche of macro-financial assistance worth 30 million euros from the European Union. This is a grant worth 10 million euros received today November 8 which will be directed to finance the budget deficit. The other 20 million euros were disbursed in the form of loans during the month of October. The macro-financial assistance for the Republic of Moldova granted by the European Union is a financing operation worth up to 100 million euros of which 60 million euros will be granted in the form of a loan and 40 million euros - in the form of a grant.Also on November 7 2019 two tranches of budget support were received as part of the budget assistance offered to the Republic of Moldova totaling 25 million euros. The money will be used to carry out key reforms initiated by the Government in the field of police the fight against corruption and money laundering agriculture and rural development. We should point out that thanks to EU support the Moldovan police managed to continue modernizing and professionalizing its structures. Also thanks to the support from the EU Moldova has increased the competitiveness of the agri-food sector through investments in agriculture the creation of groups of agricultural producers and the granting of the necessary assistance to the agri-food units in the trade with the EU. EU funding has also contributed to alignment with EU and international quality standards on food safety. The EU program also supported rural development initiatives.
