The Executive has approved at todays meeting November 28 the amendment of Annex no. 3 to the National Qualifications Framework. The document foresees the introduction of new elements which establish a clearer correspondence between the levels of the National Qualifications Framework the study and vocational training documents issued in the Republic of Moldova and the reference levels of the European Qualifications Framework and the International Standard Classification of Education ISCED .The document was developed as a result of the numerous requests made to the Ministry of Education Culture and Research from citizens employers providers of educational services regarding the recognition and the equivalence of the duration of studies and qualifications obtained before the entry into force of the Education Code approved in 2014.The new annex provides more detailed information on the study papers issued in the national education system. New compartments have also been introduced indicating the series of study papers the period of their release by the educational institutions as well as the levels of education that can be accessed on the basis of these documents. The implementation of the document will have a positive impact on the citizens the education system the labor market and the business environment. This will promote labor mobility increase employment opportunities facilitate lifelong learning.We mention that the transparency and recognition of skills and qualifications obtained in national education systems is one of the new priorities in line with the recommendation of the Council of the European Union on the implementation of the strategic framework for European cooperation in education and training and a prerequisite for integration national education in the single European area of education and training.
