According to WHO statistics in 2020 19.2 million people were diagnosed with cancer and 9.9 million people died of cancer. Mongolia leads the world in cancer deaths and liver cancer morbidity and mortality. In 2021 5981 people were newly diagnosed with cancer in Mongolia. Liver cancer accounted for 32 gastric cancer for 16 lung cancer for 7.5 esophageal cancer for 5.6 and cervical cancer for 5.2 of newly registered cancers. These cancers account for 67 percent of all cancers.Meeting of Health Sector Leaders to discuss measures to improve health education improve access to regular cancer screening and diagnosis in accordance with international standards and promote a healthy and active lifestyle. After thatN.Erdenekhuu Director General of the National Center for Cancer Research G.Oyunjargal Director of the SE of Khuvsgul aimag and G.Khandsuren Oncologist of the General Hospital of Songinokhairkhan District made presentations on Reducing the Centralization of Cancer Aid Services.T.Undarmaa Head of the Registration and Early Detection Unit of the National Center for Cancer Control made a presentation on STRENGTHENING THE CANCER AND EARLY DETECTION SYSTEM.SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT CONCEPT OF MONGOLIA 2030 aims toreduce cancer-related deaths per 10000 population2016-2020 Phase 1 to reduce to 10.52021-2025 Phase 2 Reduce to 92026-2030 Phase 3 aims to reduce to 8.From 2022 more than 60 billion MNT has been budgeted for preventive health screening for early detection of cancer. This is important for early detection of cancer and prompt diagnosis of the most common diseases in the population. The participants of the branch meeting emphasized that the effective implementation of this work will increase the chances of reducing the incidence of cancer and agreed to work in the future. The recommendations of this sub-meeting will be reflected in the Health Sector Policy Document and necessary action will be taken.
