Chile's Ministry of Labor and Social Security (MTSS) strengthens regional cooperation in a meeting with the ILO and Chilean authorities 08/27/2025 Share Representatives from the MTSS met in Santiago with the ILO and Chilean labor authorities to exchange experiences and strengthen cooperation on issues such as employment, social protection, migration, and social dialogue. Leonardo Batalla, Head of International Relations and Cooperation, and Victoria González, Head of the Statistics Unit, participated in the working meeting with the team from the ILO Office for the Southern Cone of Latin America and with representatives of Chilean labor institutions in the city of Santiago. Meetings were held to delve into topics such as labor statistics, decent work, migration, child labor, wages and working hours, social protection, employment, health and safety, social dialogue, and digital platforms. Participation in this meeting is important as it allows for the consolidation of cooperative ties, the identification of good practices, and the strengthening of technical capacities in strategic areas for the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.
