Netherlands Finance Invites Tender

The State Secretary for Finance Menno Snel invites all Dutch people to think along with them about a theme of the 2020 recognition coin. Every year commemorative coins are issued in the Netherlands to honor a special moment or person in the Netherlands.Commemorative coins are there for all of us and that is why I think it is important that everyone can submit his or her ideas for the coin theme in the year 2020 said the State Secretary. From today until 6 May 2019 everyone can respond via internetconsultatie.nl.Examples of recent coin themes are sports icon Fanny Blankers-Koen world heritage site Schokland and 100 years of aviation in the Netherlands. The State Secretary for Finance gives everyone the opportunity to come up with a new currency theme for 2020. The condition is that there is a clear description of the theme for example an event or person that can be linked to an anniversary year. For example 25 50 75 100 years. It must also be made clear why the theme is of national importance to the Netherlands.The State Secretary will announce the chosen theme in May 2019. The creator of the winning theme receives an invitation for the ceremonial first coin of the commemorative coin. Further conditions and rules for participation can be found on internetconsultatie.nl.
