The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Olzhas Bektenov, had a meeting with the chief executive officer of the Singapore company Changi Airport Group (CAG), Yam Kum Weng. Prospects of cooperation in the implementation of projects in the field of aviation were discussed there. Olzhas Bektenov noted that in accordance with the instructions of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the formation of an international aviation hub, complex works are being carried out on the development of the airport infrastructure of Astana, including the construction of the second airport. In this regard, attention was drawn to the fact that there is a significant potential for expanding real interaction between Kazakhstan and Singapore. Emphasis was placed on the need to involve the companys international experience and technological expertise in the development of Kazakhstans aviation infrastructure. Changi Airport Group operates Changi International Airport and Seletar Airport in Singapore. Through its subsidiary Changi Airports International, it participates in airport infrastructure development, management and master planning projects at more than 60 airports in more than 20 countries around the world. GAI also implements advanced digital solutions, including biometrics and automation, and adheres to the principles of carbon neutrality. Yam Kum Weng expressed that Changi Airport Group is interested in further deepening cooperation with Kazakhstan. The head of the Singaporean company noted the great potential of Astana as a bridge between Europe and Asia and said that the company is ready to offer expertise, knowledge and experience in the field of the airport during the implementation of the project of building a new airport in the capital as a regional hub and regional center. According to the results of the meeting, the parties confirmed the high level of Kazakhstan-Singapore relations and their interest in further expansion of practical cooperation.
