π Tender Overview
In the first session of the Lambayeque Regional Committee for Citizen Security (CORESEC), chaired by the regional governor, Jorge Perez Flores, it was agreed to strengthen the 2025 Citizen Security Plan and invite the business community and civil society to join the work of this inter-institutional coordination body.
In this space, it was also determined that in the next session the Citizen Security Committees of the provinces of Chiclayo, Ferrenafe and Lambayeque will present the problem of security in their jurisdiction.
Likewise, the modifications that are considered in the Citizen Security Plan for the year 2025 will be seen, such as the incorporation of the health proposal to be able to provide capacities to the police and security guards, considering that it is essential for their actions.
The governor and president of CORESEC, stated that it is urgent to work on the regional plan and the provincial plans beforehand, considering that in previous years it has been a copy and paste of the National Security Plan, since the national objectives are very different from the regional and provincial objectives.
It is important that they take their time to consolidate the real problem and go correcting it because this plan is not written in stone, it is a flexible plan, and it adapts to the needs, so that we can help finance some projects or initiatives or activities, he added.
In this first session, the head of the Lambayeque Police Region, General PNP Luis Angel Bolanos Melgarejo, and the regional manager of Education, Juan Orlando Vargas Rojas, were sworn in. Meanwhile, the same will be done in the next session with the heads of the Superior Court of Justice and the Public Ministry.
