📋 Tender Overview
The Ministry of Production (Produce), through the Proinnovate program, will invest more than S/ 8 million in the financing of nine innovative solutions aimed at addressing problems of public interest. These initiatives were raised by state entities with the purpose of finding effective responses in collaboration with specialized MSMEs and startups.
The nine selected proposals correspond to phase 1 of the Public Innovation Challenges Contest, a Proinnovate initiative designed to generate positive impact on the country. Each challenge will receive financing close to 900 thousand soles for its development and implementation.
Selected institutions and challenges
Next, public institutions and projects that have been selected are presented:
1.-Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (MIDAGRI): Implementation of a unique system of identification of cattle at the national level, with the aim of improving the quality and safety of products of animal origin and strengthening food security.
2.-Ministry of Justice and Human Rights (Minjusdh): Development of the Intercultural Justice at your fingertips, aimed at reducing linguistic, geographical and cultural barriers that affect indigenous or original populations.
3.-Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur): Creation of a reliable system for collection of data on tourism activity in rural areas, especially in communities of the Amazon and the south of the country, in order to improve the tourist offer.
4. -Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (MIDIS) - Program with you: Development of emotional containment strategies for caregivers of people with severe disabilities.
5. -Technological Institute of Production (ITP) - Produces: Acoinnovadores project, aimed at strengthening innovation in aquaculture to improve Paiche production in Peruvian Amazon.
6.- National Institute of Health (INS): Development of technologies to strengthen quality controls in the pharmaceutical supply chain and achieve rapid and precise detection of counterfeit drugs in the Peruvian market.
7.- Ministry of Environment (MINAM) - Sernanp: Implementation of an innovation system to monitor and intervene in due course the anthropogenic effects of burning in the adjoining areas and inside the National Park of the Abiseo River.
8. -Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation - Otassa: Project Change managers, focused on the reduction of arsenic levels in sludge from the treatment of wastewater for subsequent use in agriculture and/or construction.
9. -MIDIS - CUNA MORE PROGRAM: Development of innovative solutions to promote participation and guarantee the permanence of caregivers in the day care of the National Cuna Program, oriented to early childhood care.
Second stage of the contest
The nine selected challenges will advance to a second phase, in which Proinnovate will summon MSMEs and startups with innovative and viable proposals for its implementation. This stage will begin in April of this year.
At the end of the process, it is expected to have validated solutions and in the initial phase of implementation, contributing to the modernization and efficiency of public services.
Transforming challenges into opportunities
The Public Innovation Challenges Contest seeks to convert public sector problems into improvement opportunities through the development of technological and creative solutions. In the first phase of applications, more than 40 entities presented proposals to address previously identified and defined problems.
Of this group, 14 institutions were preselected, covering various regions of the country, such as Lima, La Libertad, Tacna, Piura and Arequipa.
The selected teams participated in an intensive training program (Bootcamp), where they received tools and methodologies to structure their problems such as innovation challenges, facilitating the design of effective and scalable solutions.
