📋 Tender Overview
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the new railway line connecting Urganch International Airport and Khiva railway station.
In our country, special attention is paid to the development of transport infrastructure, the interconnection of different types of transport, and the creation of a convenient transportation system for residents and tourists. This project implemented in Khorezm region also serves these purposes.
Within the framework of the project worth 225 billion soums, a new 11-kilometer railway line connecting the Urganch International Airport and the railway station was built. A station, a bridge, intersections with highways and 25 water transfer structures were built there.
About 650,000 local and foreign tourists have been transported through the new route. The travel time between Khiva and Urganch will be halved from 80 minutes to 40 minutes. About 30 new jobs were created.
It is noteworthy that such a project directly connecting the airport and the railway was implemented for the first time in our country. The CR200J electric train made in China is running on the Urganch International Airport - Khiva route.
This six-car electric train can carry about 400 passengers at a time. It moves at a speed of up to 160 kilometers per hour. The carriages have VIP, business and economy class seats, free Wi-Fi, the ability to charge electronic devices, modern air conditioning and heating systems. Necessary conditions are also created for persons with disabilities.
The head of our state arrived in Khiva on a new electric train.
In Khiva, the President inspected the new trolleybuses that will be put into service on the route connecting Urganch International Airport and Khiva Railway Station.
10 trolleybuses imported from China in July of this year are equipped with a modern autonomous driving system and can travel up to 100 kilometers without being connected to the power grid.
Each trolleybus is designed for 87 passengers. They have facilities for persons with disabilities, elderly and children passengers, USB and Type-C ports, internal and external surveillance cameras. There are also safety systems such as driver monitoring, lane departure warning and automatic fire extinguishing.
The initiative to bring these modern vehicles was put forward during the Presidents visit to Khorezm region last year.
The head of our state emphasized that mutual harmonization of transport modes will serve to create convenience for residents and tourists, reduce travel time, and increase the tourist attractiveness of the region. Appropriate instructions have been given to the officials to ensure safe and quality service for the passengers.
