Rare Operation Laparoscopic Tender

πŸ“„ Tender ID: 539313972 πŸ“… Published: 24 Oct 2026

πŸ“‹ Tender Overview

Surgeons of the first surgical department of the Krasnoyarsk Emergency Hospital performed laparoscopic gastrectomy for the first time on a patient with a severe complication of peptic ulcer disease. As doctors note, this is a rare operation - in Russia it is classified as an expert operation: previously, such interventions were performed only through a large incision in the abdominal wall.
A 56-year-old patient came to the clinic for routine help with complaints of heaviness in the abdomen, nausea, vomiting, weakness and weight loss. The examination revealed decompensated cicatricial stenosis of the gastric outlet and prolapse of the organ - a severe complication of peptic ulcer disease, which seriously impaired digestion. The diagnosis was confirmed by X-ray and endoscopic examination data.
During the operation, doctors used laparoscopic removal of part of the stomach using the Billroth-2 technique. Thanks to the high level of training of the surgical team, the minimally invasive intervention was successful. The postoperative period was without complications.Already on the first day the patient began to move independently, on the second day she began to drink, and on the third or fourth day she began to eat food.On the fifth day, the woman was discharged home in satisfactory condition. The sutures were removed on an outpatient basis on the eighth day after surgery.
Laparoscopic surgery is performed through small punctures - this allows to reduce hospitalization and recovery time, as well as reduce pain. With open interventions, which were previously used for such diagnoses, the patient spends 10-14 days in the hospital, and rehabilitation takes longer.
According to the surgeon, head of the first surgical department of the Krasnoyarsk Emergency Hospital, Andrei Fedorov, in Russia, the frequency and status of uniqueness of laparoscopic gastrectomy is determined by the diagnosis. For oncological diseases, laparoscopy has become the gold standard in leading clinics; for obesity, it has become routine in specialized centers. But with ulcerative complications and stenoses, as in this case, intervention remains at the expert level.

The successful implementation of this operation was made possible thanks to the serious technical equipment of the operating room and the high level of training of the surgical team. For emergency hospitals, this is an important stage, confirming the readiness of the surgical service to perform interventions at a complex expert level.
The introduction of minimally invasive technologies allows patients to return to a full life in the shortest possible time. This corresponds to the goals of the national project Long and Active Life.
