๐ Tender Overview
March 13, 2026, Chisinau - The Republic of Moldova becomes part of the Agroecology Coalition, an international platform that brings together governments, international organizations, academia and civil society around the transition to more resilient and sustainable agri-food systems. This affiliation offers new opportunities for cooperation, exchange of experience and strengthening of agricultural policies in the field of environment, climate and risk management.
By participating in this platform, the Republic of Moldova has access to an international network of relevant partners for the development of modern solutions in agriculture, including in areas related to adaptation to climate change and the application of environmentally friendly agricultural practices.
At the same time, involvement within the Coalition allows participation in a working group dedicated to public policies, where useful guidelines for the development of the national framework in the field of agroecology are discussed. This component is also important in the context of the European path of the Republic of Moldova, by approaching approaches promoted at the European level in terms of environment and climate in agriculture.
Affiliation also provides additional international visibility for projects, reforms and examples of good practice developed in the Republic of Moldova. These can be promoted in a wider framework, including by highlighting initiatives that support soil protection, production diversification and the development of sustainable agricultural models.
For the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, this participation represents an additional framework for cooperation in supporting the objectives of strengthening the resilience of the agri-food sector and its adaptation to the effects of climate change.
According to the public information of the Coalition, the Republic of Moldova is among the new governmental members, and with this affiliation the number of member governments has reached 52. At the same time, the Coalition brings together thematic working groups dedicated to public policies, communication, financing, implementation and research.
