March 10, 2026, Chisinau - The Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry, Ludmila Catlabuga, had a meeting with H.E. Turki bin Abdullah Zaid Al Mahmoud, the ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Moldova, during which the opportunities for strengthening bilateral cooperation in the agri-food sector were discussed.
The meeting gave the opportunity to approach cooperation perspectives with partners from the State of Qatar in the field of fertilizer supply, in support of farmers from the Republic of Moldova.
At the same time, during the discussions, the importance of developing cooperation in the agri-food sector between the two states was emphasized, by organizing visits of businessmen and importers from the State of Qatar to the Republic of Moldova, to facilitate the dialogue with domestic producers, identify opportunities for commercial cooperation and promote Moldovan agri-food products. The possibilities of capitalizing on relevant economic and investment platforms for expanding partnerships with the Qatari business environment were also examined.
