Within the framework of international cooperation with the National Metrological Institute of Belarus (BelGIM) in VNIIM, subordinate to Rosstandart. DI. Mendeleev, a standard vacuum measuring installation was created and put into operation for the national standard of Belarus in the field of measurements of low absolute pressures and vacuum. The equipment will ensure the unity of vacuum measurements, as well as metrological assessment of measuring instruments for low absolute pressures and vacuum. The project is carried out within the framework of the state scientific and technical program of the Republic of Belarus “National standards and high-tech research equipment” for 2021 - 2025. As the research department in the field of pressure measurements said, the work used original scientific and engineering solutions, as well as domestic components, which made it possible to partially abandon foreign-made standards.
The installation included a software and hardware complex that made it possible to automate the procedure for reproducing pressure in the range from 0.1 Pa to atmospheric pressure, including the absolute measurement method - the static expansion method. In the field of vacuum measurements, automation of the procedure for reproducing pressure using the absolute method was implemented for the first time in the Russian Federation.
According to the General Director of VNIIM named after. DI. Mendeleev Anton Pronin , freeing the market from foreign-made products and the need to ensure high measurement standards in the field of microelectronics, energy, and mechanical engineering creates great potential and favorable conditions for the development in Russia and friendly countries of high technologies in the field of vacuum measurements and modernization of the reference base.
Let us remind you that the cooperation of the national bodies for standardization and metrology of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus - Rosstandart and Gosstandart - is large-scale and fruitful. In 2022, a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of ensuring the uniformity of measurements was signed between the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus and the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology. Since March of this year, the order “On the implementation of interstate cooperation in the development of documents of the national standardization system” has been in effect, which contains a list of mirror technical committees for standardization and project technical committees for standardization of the two countries. One of the new areas of cooperation between the two countries is the exchange of experience of subordinate regional centers.
