π Tender Overview
Sber has approved its Energy Conservation and Energy Efficiency Program for 2026-2030. The document outlines the banks goals and objectives for reducing energy consumption, sets energy-efficiency targets and greenhouse gas emission reduction metrics, as well as other digital indices and metrics relevant to the agenda. Sber adopts a comprehensive approach to minimizing negative environmental impacts, with measures aimed at resource conservation. Here are some of the Programs key tasks and principles to achieve energy efficiency and energy conservation: Use of innovative technology and resource consumption control through the introduction of modern management methods and data/analytical systems Development of green technology, including AI, to enhance the effectiveness of forecasting, analysis, and resource management Equipping bank premises with automated accounting systems for electricity, thermal energy, water, and natural gas. Additionally, the bank maintains its objective of achieving carbon neutrality for Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2030 and plans to implement climate projects. Particular emphasis in the Program is placed on developing an energy management system and a process-oriented approach to enhancing the efficiency of energy resource consumption by bank facilities during technological processes. Implementation of this approach is achieved through extensive use of artificial intelligence models, including AI agents, as well as the digitalization of facilities and their integration into Andromeda, a large-scale property monitoring and management system. The software-hardware suite operates in real-time, facilitating dispatching at facilities and helping optimize energy resource consumption. The digital solution has been scaled in Moscows new smart district, SberCity. The complex has also been deployed to track the life-support engineering systems at Sbers headquarters. Remote monitoring using this system is being performed across 8,000+ properties. Pursuing its sustainability initiatives, Sber implements green technology both in its operations and promotes its development in the domestic market. Solutions that are already collecting consumption data, tracking, and managing engineering systems at bank facilities have resulted in a 15% reduction in energy consumption compared to 2019. The cumulative economic impact of the Program will exceed RUB 11 bn, the technological impact will be a reduction in consumption by 336 million kWh, and the ESG impact will entail a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by over 117,600 metric tons of CO2.
