The Office of Metrology of the Republic of Slovenia carried out the first verification of the CELERITAS MVD 2022 speedometer with the official code SI 24-07-001 on January 6, 2025. It was installed on the bypass in the Municipality of Menges.

This is the first type of speedometer in the Republic of Slovenia that combines two methods of measuring speed at the same time: measuring the average speed of a vehicle on a section and measuring the speed of a vehicle at the entry or exit point using a Doppler radar antenna. The speedometer can operate in only one of the speed measurement modes at a given time. The latter allows the user of the speedometer to adjust its operation according to the current traffic situation or signaling, also with the aim of increasing traffic flow. This type of speedometer is intended for use on motorways, on roads outside settlements and in settlements themselves.

The first speedometer of this type has been installed in the Municipality of Mengeš, on the bypass - road 104 between the first and second roundabouts in the direction towards Kamnik, on a section 550 meters long.
