Deadline 31 January 2019The Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund GCERF and the Tunisia Country Support Mechanism CSM of GCERF have announced a Call for Concept Notes from Tunisian organisations to become a Principal Recipient PR or a Direct Grantee of funding from GCERFs Core Funding Mechanism CFM.The Call for Concept Notes is for initiatives to strengthen community resilience to violent extremism in Tunisia.GCERF is a multi-stakeholder global fund that works with local partners to strengthen community resilience to violent extremism.Funding InformationThis Call for Expressions of Interest is supported by an initial investment of USD 1 million which will fund approximately two to five programmes in Tunisia over a one- to three-year period beginning in 2019.GCERF will provide grants to individual organisations or consortia working at the community level. Each consortium should be led by a Principal Recipient that will be responsible for providing sub-grants to other consortium members.CriteriaApplicants for GCERF funding in Tunisia are invited to submit a concept note in line with the GCERF Country Strategy for Investment in Tunisia for a grant of between one and three years in duration that focus onthe following specific demographicpopulation groupsreligious actorsvulnerable youth who are hard to reach for example who are not in educationtraining or employedrural women above the age of 36 particularly mothersuniversity studentsthe following specific thematic areas economic empowermenttraining and capacity building for example soft skills culture sports and Tunisian traditions specific support for the Social Defence and Integration Centres CDISand addressing driversfactors of violent extremism including lack of sense of purpose critical thinking and life skillsperceived marginalisation unemployment inequality lack of positive opportunitiesHow to ApplyThe documents must be submitted electronically at the address given on the website.Eligible Country Tunisia
