Uruguay Miem Supports Tender

Beginners professionals and technicians in the audiovisual sector will be able to access scholarships of up to 100 for the Film and TV Production Course taught by the New York Film Academy one of the leading film schools at an international level.The Inter-American Development Bank IDB will finance a scholarship program to study film and TV production at the New York Film Academy which has the support of the Ministry of Industry Energy and Mining MIEM the Directorate of Culture the Uruguayan National Film and Audiovisual Institute ICAU and Uruguay XXI. Those interested must apply as of this Wednesday July 7 and until August 20 2021 for a bonus of up to 75. In addition four students will be able to access full scholarships.It is an initiative that as a pioneer in the country aims to be a pilot experience that serves as a foundation for future projects to strengthen the capacities of industry players and attract international talent.There will be two courses available depending on the skills and knowledge of the applicants. One of them will be aimed at students who are already film professionals and or have experience in the field while the rest will be aimed at beginners. The classes will be virtual in English and will be in charge of the New York Film Academy. The courses will last four weeks with a load of 20 hours per week from Monday to Friday from 600 p.m. to 930 p.m. Practical workshops will also be held on weekends.Some face-to-face instances will be included which will be subject to sanitary measures.The start of classes is scheduled for Monday September 20 2021.The courses cost US 2550 but the IDB will subsidize 75 which will leave the final cost for the beneficiary student at US 750 plus the license of the software to use. In addition the Directorate of Culture ICAU and EGEDA offer the possibility of applying for four scholarships that will cover the remaining 25.Places are limited and will be assigned on a first-come first-served basis as long as applicants meet the profile to which the program is directed.
