The MIEM through the National Directorate of Telecommunications and Audiovisual Communication Services Dinatel the National Development Agency ANDE the National Film and Audiovisual Institute INCAU and Uruguay XXI launch the 2022 calls for the Uruguay Audiovisual Program both in regard to the Production of international audiovisual advertising production in Uruguay and in relation to the Production of national audiovisual productions in Uruguay on lines A and B. Through these calls the projects receive a reimbursement of their investments through a cash rebate mechanism. More than one million dollars will be allocated for advertising and more than 135 million for national productions.The Uruguay Audiovisual Program aims to promote the development of the audiovisual sector in Uruguay by strengthening local capacities professionalizing the different links in the sectors value chain and the competitive incorporation of the country into the international production market.PUA advertising lineThe 2022 Call for International Audiovisual Advertising Production in Uruguay seeks to support foreign audiovisual advertising productions produced totally or partially in Uruguay.For the implementation of the Advertising Line of the PUA a total amount of up to USD 1039485 will be assigned. This fund will be used to reimburse up to 20 of the total amount of the projects pre-production production andor post-production activities with a maximum support limit of USD 100000 per project under the cash rebate modality.This program is open from September 2 2022 and has an open window modality as long as funds are available for this PUA line .How to applyThe postulated project will be composed solely of pre-production production andor post-production activities carried out within the national territory carried out by Uruguayan citizens individuals who are permanent residents in Uruguay andor legal entities established in Uruguay.The total amount of the project will be made up of all expenses associated with the aforementioned activities and must be at least USD 150000 .To obtain reimbursement Uruguayan companies that have agreements with foreign companies can apply. The beneficiaries of the support granted within the framework of the program will be the foreign companies responsible for the production of the advertising audiovisual piece.ANDE upon instruction from MIEM-Dinatel will reimburse up to 20 of the total amount of the pre-production production andor post-production activities of a project with a maximum support cap of USD 100000 per project under the cash rebate modality.The application of projects to this line must be made on the Uruguay Audiovisual website .Lines A and B - National audiovisual productionsThe 2022 call for the Uruguay Audiovisual Program Realization of national audiovisual productions in Uruguay in its lines A and B seeks to support the independent production of non-advertising audiovisual content produced by national companies as well as the development of national fiction projects documentary and animation.The objective of the Uruguay Audiovisual Program PUA - National Productions Component is to promote national audiovisual production by strengthening improving and optimizing the execution processes of projects that stand out for their potential impact. For this a total amount of 135576134 will be allocated.It aims to generate a favorable environment for the production of audiovisual content in the territory with an impact on the strengthening of professional and business capacities throughout the chain and the exportable quality standards of productions.Projects composed solely of production andor post-production activities carried out within the territory may apply for Line A. They may belong to three categories National majority fiction and animation National minority fiction and animation National majority and minority documentary.The total amount of the project will be made up of all the expenses associated with the aforementioned activities and must be equal to or greater than the minimum amount established for each category established in the bases. It must be the sum of the nominal amounts not including taxes.Between 20 and 80 of the total amount of the project will be reimbursed with a maximum limit of support established for each category of project according to the bases.In the event that the project is submitted only in the post-production stage the minimum amount of the project and the maximum amount of support to be received from the PUA are set at 50 for each category.Line B intends to contribute to the strengthening of the development of a greater number of national productions with potential for co-production or international sale which propose strategies and actions that represent appreciable differentials for the potential of their project.The postulated project will be composed solely of the development activities and the total amount of the project will be composed of all the expenses associated with the mentioned activities. The sum of the nominal amounts not including taxes must be equal to or greater than the minimum amount established for each category established in the bases.Up to 80 of the total cost of the project will be reimbursed with a maximum cap depending on the category. The remaining amount must be financed as counterpart by the applicant company.How to applyThe application of projects must be made on the website of the National Film and Audiovisual Institute INCAU completing the application form and attaching all the documentation required according to the line.Line B Start 9222 end 41122.Line A Start 9222 window open as long as funds are available for the line.
