Uruguay Public Private Tender

The Undersecretary of the MGAP together with the technicians Fabin Davila from the Directorate of Natural Resources Mara Methol from OPYPA and authorities from the ARS together with technicians agglutinators and insurers presented an analysis of agricultural insurance. Through the round table modality an exchange of consultations and contributions was maintained on this fundamental tool to take care of the chain. A representative from the BSE and one from AUDEA Uruguayan Association of Private Insurers participated from the insurance sector. A representative of COPAGRAN joined the talk for the producers. See the broadcast at the link.Firstly a brief presentation was made of the project for the promotion of the information system that is being developed with the contribution of data from the private sector whose sole purpose is to help improve the offer of performance insurance the confidential treatment of individual data . Those present agreed that the main core focuses on the great improvement in the quality of information as well as the additional usefulness of this system for the producers themselves and for the development of public policies to support the development of insurance and other instruments of Risk management. At the end of the talk Minister Mattos referred to climate variability Today the good mood is due to the rains we had but in recent years we have had 5 or 6 droughts. These instruments allow us to protect the people who are important...The agglutinators are fundamental and they are also the figure that we define to ensure quality. But the most important thing are the producers they are the ones who must lead the project.
