A meeting was held between Adiz Boulevard, Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and a joint mission of the World Bank (JB) and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (OIIB).
For information: This mission was in Uzbekistan from September 2023 to October 26, 6 to assist in the implementation of the "Rural Infrastructure Development" project.
During the mission, JB and OIIB experts analyzed the status of project actions, optimized procurement processes for activities undertaken by single contractor service injuring companies before provincial governments, comprehensive inspection of social and ecological guarantees, as well as monitoring and evaluating the project group and strengthening their potential in project management enhanced.
The purpose of the meeting was to present the mission results, to verify the time and quality of the work done in the regions, to implement the project, and to agree on the next steps to prepare for the second phase.
As part of the mission, a 9.6 km-long [<>.<> km] "Asphalt of Internal Roads" subloyich was carried out in the "Bright" district of Yozyovon, Fargo Province. Meetings were also held with the participation of NNT employees of Mehrijon, who were involved in the implementation of the project "Expanding the Economic Rights and Opportunities of Rural Women."
During the discussion, the parties identified the goals of the second phase of the project, its components and the development of financing volumes. At the same time, measures to implement and prepare the project required by the Government of Uzbekistan, including technical and technological foundation mechanisms, were considered.
Finally, the parties reached an agreement to start the second phase of the "Rural Infrastructure Development" project.
