The fifth vertex of the Great Mission for Equality and Social Justice "Hugo Chávez" is intended to provide food for the country's mothers, children, grandfathers and grandmothers, through special nutrition plans.
This was announced by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, this Tuesday, during the launch of this great mission of the new generation, which in its fifth vertex proposes to serve the most vulnerable in plans such as: Feeding the future, Empowerment of the School Feeding Program (PAE), in the most vulnerable communities and Nutritional embrace to our grandfathers and grandmothers.
"In this first action, attention will be given to pregnant women, women who breastfeed and women who care for children from zero to twelve years old. Identification, registration and special attention to achieve the necessary calories and protein in the family care route," explained President Maduro.
In addition, he specified that this vertex will strengthen the PAE program, in the parishes and prioritized central segment; With the Nourishing Agri-Food Awareness program, it is proposed to advance in the culture of the four S's, in the maternal and child cycle.
As the second major action of this apex, the president explained that it will be the special nutritional embrace to adults over sixty years of age for greater comprehensive and loving protection with the aim of improving their nutrition through the Hugo Chávez Territorial Brigades and the National Institute of Nutrition (INN).
"To ensure the two thousand calories, the eighty-five grams of supplemental protein, the supplementation of iron, calcium, zinc, magnesium, magnesium is very important vital for life and health, vitamins A, D and bring special attention nutrition to our seniors," he said.
He reported that the goal is to ensure that in the first ninety days this special plan reaches one hundred and twenty thousand most vulnerable adults and older adults in the country.
