As a priority, the Great Mission of Equality and Social Justice assumes social welfare, comprehensive care for the elderly and the strengthening of national security, at its eighth, ninth and tenth vertices.
During the launch of this Great Mission of the new generation, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reported that vertex eight called: Social Welfare, will implement Plan Z (Shoes); Plan R (Clothing) and Plan C (Mattress), to meet the human needs of Venezuelans.
In this sense, he explained that Plan Z, Shoes for the People with national production, will carry out the "distribution of 6.2 million pairs of shoes in all communities, quality shoes, maximum quality."
Regarding Plan R, he announced the "distribution of 6.2 million comprehensive textile kit combos for the community"; and for plan C, the Mattress plan, "the distribution of one million mattresses for the people's bed" will be made.
At vertex number 9 named: Grandparents and Children of Venezuela, a unique and special system of recreation, sports, culture and tourism will be established.
That is why he reported the creation of "twelve thousand circles of new grandfathers and grandmothers, in this first phase of 90 days, and the creation of 335 tourist routes for our grandfathers and grandmothers, so that they have the quality of care, rest and repair."
Likewise, a care system will be created to consolidate the integration, at the municipal, regional and national levels, of the public, private and personal care system for grandparents.
To this end, the Head of State ordered a registry of caregivers, preferably young people, through the Patria System, and to hire a special service for young caregivers. "The Hugo Chávez territorial brigades must immediately form the brigades of 2,500 specialized brigades prepared for the care of the elderly in the communities," he said.
He also announced the activation of 335 shelters for grandparents in the country's 335 municipalities; and to create 12,000 integral grandfather and grandmother circles.
Strengthen security
Security within the national territory is a pressing issue for the Bolivarian Government, which is why this Great Mission for Equality and Social Justice proposes to strengthen the Peace Quadrants in vulnerable areas, the activation of Houses of Justice of Peace and the activation of at least 3,000 justices of the peace.
"Two immediate actions. Strengthen the peace quadrants, their capacity for communication, action and prevention in the most vulnerable areas of the country. Immediately. With the people everything, without the people nothing. The second option of this tenth vertex, the immediate activation of the houses of justice and peace; and within ninety days the election of at least three thousand justices of the peace in the community, elected by popular vote, justice of the peace," President Maduro announced.
