π Tender Overview
Human trafficking in Venezuela remains one of the main protection risks faced by vulnerable Venezuelans inside and outside the country. Although new dynamics have been observed, the trends reflected in previous volumes of this quarterly bulletin are still present.
The response to human trafficking in Venezuela from the humanitarian sector has been characterized by the implementation of projects by NGOs that have traditionally provided assistance to women survivors of gender-based violence, international NGOs that address the phenomenon from a broader protection perspective, and agencies, funds and programs, each within its mandate.
The Human Trafficking Bulletin is an initiative of the Working Group for the Prevention and Response to Trafficking in Persons β GTTdP, published for the first time in July 2022, in order to show quarterly the trends and responses to TdP, of the member organizations, an instrument that supports the humanitarian community and is currently a mandatory consultation document to learn about the situation of human trafficking in Venezuela.
This document is published in compliance with Objective 1 of the Protection Cluster's Trafficking in Persons Strategy, namely: to increase the visibility of trafficking in persons within the United Nations system and integrate it into existing structures, processes and advocacy work.
