๐Ÿ“‹ Tender Overview

Venezuela proposes global dialogue for life between tropical forest countries and large carbon emitters, emphasized the Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodriguez, in the context of the Meeting of the signatory countries of the Amazon Cooperation Treaty (ATT) with the invited countries, on the second day of the Summit, held in Belรฉm, State of Para. In her speech, the Venezuelan official advocated that the dream of the president of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva, for the Amazon, be the dream of the world.

In this regard, in his words he expressed his desire to signify what the two-day meeting at the Amazon Summit has represented, maintaining that it is a "milestone in the environmental history of the planet, because I believe that we have put things in their proper place." He said that "today we have heard the concern of Colombia and even in our position as an energy country and it is a concern that we maintain all the countries of the world, producers or not of energy."

"So Venezuela proposes that a great dialogue be made for life where the producers of carbon are, and the main tropical forests of the planet are represented," because "although it is true that today we are the main basins of the planet and that it represents life in itself, because it allows us to breathe basically, I think there is a missing part with which to talk that they are the big carbon emitters in the line that you presented, that there has been a shared common responsibility, but that necessarily has to be differentiated over the big responsible of the north, "argued the Executive Vice President. In that line, Rodrรญguez welcomed the presence of the organizers of COP 28, in this meeting "because it is the link from here on out."

He considered that it is the way to land the extraordinary proposals that "we have heard these two days in an extraordinary event Mr. President."
On the approach presented by Venezuela, he added that it responds to "a concrete humble proposal that we bring, but that will allow us that Lula's dream is also the dream of humanity and we can build in world union." This Wednesday, the adoption of the document "United for Our Forests: Joint Communiquรฉ of the Developing Forest Countries in Belรฉm" was also carried out, a context in which Venezuela, together with invited nations, raised their voices in defense of the Amazon.

An example of this was the set of proposals expressed by the invited countries, pointing out that the struggle for the Amazon goes through economic, ecological and social cooperation.
