Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc has just signed Decision No. 1238/QD-TTg dated October 22, 2024 approving the expansion of the Da Nang Software Park Concentrated Information Technology Park.
Specifically, the approval to expand the Da Nang Software Park Concentrated Information Technology Park has been recognized by the Prime Minister as a concentrated information technology park in Decision No. 1967/QD-TTg dated December 7, 2017, with the name of Da Nang Software Park No. 2, the implementation location is in Thuan Phuoc ward, Hai Chau district, Da Nang city; the expanded area is 28,573 m2 .
Scope of expansion of the Danang Software Park Concentrated Information Technology Park: determined in Decision No. 4179/QD-UBND dated September 17, 2019 of the Danang City People's Committee approving the 1/500 scale construction plan of Danang Software Park No. 2.
Da Nang City People's Committee is the investor.
Danang Software Park No. 2 ensures to perform according to the functions and tasks of the concentrated information technology park as prescribed in Article 4 of Decree No. 154/2013/ND-CP dated November 8, 2013 of the Government.
The Decision clearly states that enterprises implementing projects in the field of information technology investing in Da Nang Software Park No. 2 are entitled to incentives stipulated in Decree No. 154/2013/ND-CP dated November 8, 2013 of the Government and other preferential policies applicable to concentrated information technology parks according to the provisions of law.
The organizational structure and operating regulations of the Management Organization of Danang Software Park No. 2 are decided by the People's Committee of Danang City; implemented in accordance with the provisions of Decree No. 154/2013/ND-CP dated November 8, 2013 of the Government and other provisions of law.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested the People's Committee of Da Nang City to coordinate with relevant ministries, branches and agencies to organize the implementation of this Decision; ensure the investment in construction, management and operation of Da Nang Software Park No. 2 effectively and in accordance with regulations.
* The Software Park No. 2 project was approved by the People's Committee of Da Nang City in Decision No. 1565/QD-UBND dated May 4, 2020. The project includes a 20-storey ICT office building; an 8-storey ICT1 office building and headquarters; an 8-storey ICT2 office building with a system of yards, internal traffic, green landscape, and synchronous technical infrastructure...
The purpose of the Project is to build a center for innovation, research and development, training, and an IT incubator; build infrastructure to serve the application and development of IT, and promote the development of the IT industry. When put into operation, this place will accommodate about 6,000 employees working directly on IT, digital technology products, etc.
