Rostelecom connected digital communications for the A. M. Chislov sports school Young Hawk and the Avangard defense sports camp in the village of Srednyaya Akhtuba, Volgograd region. The companys specialists deployed an optical infrastructure with a network capacity of up to 1 Gbit/s and organized the operation of Wi-Fi and virtual telephony.
Elena Zheleznyakova, director of the sports school named after. A. M. Chislova Young Hawk:
When they talk about patriotic education, they often imagine drill training, forced marches, lightning strikes - and thats right, you cant live without it. But today, not only physical endurance and strategic thinking are important, but also digital competencies. We pay great attention to training cadets to work with automated control systems, data analysis, the basics of cybersecurity, the use of artificial intelligence and unmanned systems. The new digital infrastructure is our investment in future heroes who can confidently use technology to protect the country.
The Young Hawk sports school opened back in 1933. Today, not only parachute jumping and airplane piloting are mastered here. On the basis of the school there is a year-round defense and sports camp Avangard, which combines an educational center and a multifunctional site for military sports shifts and patriotic competitions of any level. On an area of 15 hectares there are 40 buildings, a tent and sports camp, a tactical training ground, a stage with stands, a square, three park areas, and Victory Alley. Avangard is one of the top 10 best camps in Russia and can simultaneously accept more than a thousand participants.
To unite objects into a single digital space, Rostelecom specialists developed a large-scale infrastructure project. Installation of optics and equipment was complicated by the presence of a large number of engineering communications. The national providers specialists quickly found alternative solutions and adjusted the project without stopping work.
In addition to organizing access to the Internet, Rostelecom specialists connected the Virtual PBX service for the sports school and installed 14 Wi-Fi access points on the territory of the Bunker interactive site of the Avangard camp.
Sergey Pulinets, director of the Volgograd branch of PJSC Rostelecom:
Digital technologies help make patriotism understandable to young people. Our task as a provider is to provide the technical base so that teachers and children can implement any initiatives. Not to contrast traditional values and technologies, but to show how they reinforce each other. Because being a patriot today also means being able to protect the information space, distinguish historical truth from fakes, and compare facts from the Internet with civic position.
Organizations, commercial enterprises and entrepreneurs can obtain detailed information and submit a request to connect to Rostelecom services using a single toll-free number 8 800 200 16 61 and on the companys website.
