Scope :
The Abuja Smart City Project will focus on making governance, transport, tourism, health, business, and homes smarter by leveraging existing infrastructure and technology. Sustainable Development Goal 11, aims at making cities inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable. It will be implemented in phases, leveraging existing structures and adopting local content for customer support systems.
Abuja Smart City Project enjoys the support of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Dr Badanga praised the efforts of the minister of FCT, who has laid down significant infrastructure.
In an unprecedented move that promises to revolutionise Nigeriaβs capital, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) is set to commence the transformative Abuja Smart City Project.
The Abuja Smart City Project model is the first of its kind in Africa to create a more robust digitalization, smart approach by adopting technology and data to transform the existing FCT with major focus on building Smart People, Smart Service and Smart City which will no measure help to improve on effective service delivery and further enhance efficiency in FCT.
A redefined Abuja City where services are rendered smartly by unlocking the potentials of the city that allows people to live, explore, work with ease and relax in a more pleasant way that align with the UN Sustainable Development Goal #11: Make cities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.
It will open the window of opportunity for the Abuja Residents, Stakeholders and Partners to access the needed information about the concept of Abuja Smart City Project, build awareness around the idea, help to engage the residents to show interest and acceptability, engender dialogue, to get feedbacks and educate the public on Abuja Smart City expected Services and the final product etc.
All these events will be showcasing innovative ideas of Abuja Smart City Project, the vision, dream and prospect for Abuja Residents efficient services.
The Campaign expected to last for some periods, will engage Media House & Experts, Advertising agents to promote the Abuja Smart City Project and Vision and various quick-win promotional events & activities.
