DESCRIPTION: The project consists of a Framework Loan to JSC Development Finance Institution Altum (ALTUM) to finance loans provided to homeowners' associations to implement energy-efficiency renovation measures in multi-apartment residential buildings across Latvia.
OBJECTIVES
By financing ALTUM's multi-annual investment programme, the project will support energy efficiency measures aiming at reducing primary energy consumption at least by 30% in the existing residential buildings. The measures include thermal insulation of building envelopes, replacement of windows and doors, renovation and modernisation of heating and ventilation systems, as well as related technical, supervision and project management services. The project supports the implementation of Latvia's National Energy and Climate Plan, contributes to the renovation of the country's ageing multi-apartment housing stock and addresses energy efficiency, climate mitigation and energy poverty objectives.
