Project Description
The proposed investment consists of an up to US$250 million senior unsecured loan to be disbursed in US$ or Armenian Dram (AMD) equivalent for IFC’s own account to Ameriabank CJSC (Ameriabank or the Bank), one of the top 2 banks in Armenia and an existing IFC client. The loan will have a 5 to 7 years maturity, and the investment proceeds will be earmarked for financing micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with 50 percent of proceeds to be allocated to eligible climate finance projects.
