DESCRIPTION
The project consists of the acquisition of 5 new battery-electrically and 36 electrically powered trains for the operation of regional railway services in Baden-Württemberg. The new trains will be owned by the promoter on behalf of the Federal State of Baden-Württemberg and leased out by the promoter to train operators selected through competitive tenders.
OBJECTIVES
The project at least maintain the supply and quality of the regional railway services offered in Baden-Wuerttemberg and its regional neighbours. In line with EU objectives, this will promote sustainable transport.
