Project Description
The proposed Project consists of a 5-year senior loan of up to US$30 million to Banque El Amana (BEA or the Bank), a private Mauritanian bank, to support the Bank’s financing to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) with 25% of the loan proceeds earmarked for women-owned/led MSMEs (WMSMEs).
Associated Advisory Engagement
The Advisory Services team will be conducting a diagnostic during May 2025 covering risk management, including climate risk. Based on gaps identified, an advisory engagement plan will thereafter be proposed to BEA
